Nottinghamshire Police are excited to offer a new opportunity to join us as a Digital Investigations and Evidence Apprentice and learn all aspects of digital investigation within a law enforcement setting while working towards a level 4 qualification in Digital Forensics.
Working with a variety of digital investigation teams, you will utilise a range of proprietary hardware and software to support the extraction and analysis of evidence from a range of devices and crime scenes to support all manner of investigations and learn about the important role digital evidence plays in modern investigations.
The apprenticeship will run for approximately 2 years, during which you will have regular protected study time, management/peer supervisions, and other opportunities to develop yourself and your skills.
Key Skills & Experience Required
You’ll need to have a level 3 qualification, such as A-levels, in maths, sciences, IT, or a similar subject area.
You’ll have an interest in computer systems, operating systems, data storage & cloud technologies.
You’ll have great written communication skills, and you’ll be able to talk to people from a range of different backgrounds.
You’ll need a high level of integrity, respect for privacy, and adherence to legal and ethical standards when handling sensitive digital information.
